Chandrika is basically my favorite soap. It's a super beautiful scent, and I feel clean everytime, not dry or itchy. It's also vegan, with no animal fat, using pure natural herbal extracts and essential oils. Beware of other brands of Chandrika, because these little green bars are the best, and other brands do not compare, they don't smell as amazing as this. Thank you for such a lovely soap.
A good natural soap. Really like that there are so few chemical ingredients. It is a bit drying though. I don't mind it that much, but some with dry skin sensitivity might. Scent is really nice.

The health food and grocery store use to carry this soap and I always loved the sandlewood fragrance and good cleaning lather. That health food store is gone now; out of business.I happened to think of it the other day and decided to buy some. Glad to see its still available.
This is still the best soap for people who work hard in extreme heat. Ideal for gardeners and farmers. Also relieves bug bites to some extent if used in the shower. Gets rid of the funkiest smells too! (Not good for use around the eyes however.)

I purchased this soap as a substitute for the Bee & Flower sandalwood soap my family used for generations before they changed the formula five-ish years ago. It's not as fragrant or as effective as a cleanser, but it has a pleasant scent and I'll continue using it. The scent is more on the floral and slightly sweet side (but not too floral), not as woodsy or spicy as I prefer, but it's nice.Pros:- bar is soft and buttery, feels good against the skin- lathers well- gentle on the skin- smell is not overbearing- washes off completely with no residue- packaging of the individual bars is biodegradableCons:- as a softer bar, it wears down faster than any soap I've ever used; I wish the bars were larger so I didn't feel like I was unwrapping a new bar every week- not very efficient as a cleanser, takes 2-3 passes to take off grime- a tad more drying than other handmade soaps (but overall very gentle)- scent doesn't last longer than an hour or twoI'm usually covered with vegetable-based polishing compounds after work, but those who don't get as dirty as I do might appreciate how gentle it is. Overall, I'd recommend for daily bath use.

I love this soap for so many reasons. Firstly, the ingredients are very natural compared to most of the soap bars found in local retailers. Secondly, they are incredibly affordable. I buy the ten packs for around $18 bucks, which is a great price compared to the $6+/bar I've spent previously for natural soaps. Thirdly, I LOVE the scent and it seems to linger a little longer than others. It reminds me of incense. Additionally, I love the size of the bars. They are neither too big nor too small. This soap is gentle and doesn't irritate skin, not even my kiddos who have more sensitive skin. It lathers well and doesn't dry out our skin. I have been using this soap for about 2-3 years now and have no desire to ever switch. I also love Chandrika's sandlewood scented soaps, but those are harder to find and more expensive. I hope they never stop producing these or change the ingredients. They are perfect!
