Frequently Asked Questions
What is Lysol Mold & Mildew Blaster Bleach & Shine used for?
Lysol Mold & Mildew Blaster is a bathroom cleaner with bleach that destroys mold and mildew, cleans and disinfects bathroom surfaces, and whitens as it cleans. It kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria when used as directed.
Does this cleaner contain bleach and cause skin or eye irritation?
Yes. The active ingredient is sodium hypochlorite (bleach), and the label lists it as an eye and skin irritant. Use only in well-ventilated areas, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep the bottle out of reach of children, as printed on the packaging.
Can I use it on shower tile, grout, and tubs?
Yes. It is designed for glazed ceramic tile, grout, tubs, and sinks, and it targets mold and mildew stains in showers. Avoid use on colored fabrics, carpet, or any surface not labeled bleach-safe.
How long should I leave it on the surface to remove mold?
Apply to a pre-cleaned surface and let it remain wet for 5 minutes before wiping or rinsing, then allow to air dry. Repeat weekly, or whenever mold and mildew growth reappears, as directed on the label.
Is this the same as the regular Lysol Bathroom Cleaner without bleach?
No. This is the bleach-based Mold & Mildew Blaster formula, not the zero-bleach foaming bathroom cleaner. Check the bottle label and product photos to confirm you are ordering the bleach formula before purchase.
