Mutti is a great product. If you haven’t tried it you should. I find their flavor is closest to fresh tomatoes and I have tried numerous others.Unfortunately this review is really about Amazon. My package arrived with all three cans having large dents. I went to ask for a refund or replacement and found the item is not eligible. Amazon packed it in a large flimsy box with other products. The cans had no protective material around them. I guess I should be thankful they even arrived as the one inferior piece tape on the top and bottom were ripping. Amazon’s shipping has greatly degraded in the last couple of years.I could not find a way to relay this to Amazon and apologize for doing this here.

Best tomato sauce you can get.I am cooking with Muttis tomato sauce for many years.The thickness of the sauce is great and you can either eat the sauce right away or use it for your pasta.The taste is so rich that with a good pasta only salt and pepper is needed.Hence value for money is great.

These San Marzano tomatoes from Italy are the best tasting that I have found. I order them over and over again. You won’t be disappointed.
Great tomatoes- maybe the best I’ve tried. However, all the cans were dented. One wasn’t too bad, but the others had to be disposed. I read it may not be safe to use, if the cans are badly dented. They were packed in such a way that I don’t believe they were damaged while in transit from the warehouse. These cans were dented before they were packed. Very disappointing because as much as I liked the product, I don’t think I would take a chance and order again.
The taste is amazing and I love the texture and thickness of these tomatoes. They are finely chopped as if they are ready for cantina style salsa. I think the quality of the product is superb and the versatility is endless.
While I have not tried these yet, I am sure they will be perfect. I am using them to add in my homemade sauce for the Holidays. Growing up my Grandparents had a garden as far as I could see. My Grandmother made her own tomato paste and puree. So when I read the message on the can of tomatoes I knew they would taste wonderful. Thank You for you passion and sharing!
These tomatoes are amazing. The quality and flavor is unmatched by anything I’ve tried before. They are pricier than some brands, but you definitely taste the difference. Watch the sizes (ounces per can). I made the mistake of thinking I was buying standard 28 Oz cans and realized they were smaller when they arrived, so the price wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be, but they are still great. If you’re cooking Italian food at home and want the best quality flavor you can get at home, I highly recommend these tomatoes. I’ve tried Sclafani, Hunts, Pope, and several other, but these are exceptionally good.
Revised Review:I previously posted a very negative review on this product due to issues related to the badly dented condition of the cans I received, not due to the quality of the product.However, I recently did some additional investigation on this issue. I had blamed Mutti for the condition of the cans I received. It turned out I was completely wrong. I found that Mutti does not sell directly on Amazon. The shipment came from either an Amazon warehouse or another seller's warehouse, NOT Mutti. Therefore, the problem I had was not the fault of Mutti. I have recently found a local store that carries Mutti Crushed Tomatoes and I will purchase my Mutti products from there. I will now once again be able to enjoy the great taste and quality of the Mutti Crushed Tomatoes. They are by far better than any other brands I have tried, and Mutti is the only brand I can say that I really love.
I have tried using pasta sauce or crushing cans of btomatos by hand for pizza sauce. Both were good but not great. I watched a YouTube video from the North American Pizza and Culinary Academy and they used this brand. These tomatoes are amazing. With the addition of some salt, these tomatoes are the perfect base for pizza. The flavor is pure. A fresh, tomato flavor with all the flavors you want and nothing you don't want. Bonus - you can it straight out of the can and it's still delicious.
