How to Use
For large loads, fill to line 2 on the measuring cup; for medium loads, fill to line 1. Pre-treat stains by applying detergent directly to the stain, waiting 5 minutes, then washing as usual. Add detergent to the drum or dispenser before adding clothes. Works in cold, warm, and hot water. For HE machines, use the HE-recommended amount (line 1 for medium loads) to prevent excess suds. Store in a cool, dry place with the container tightly closed. Eyes: Rinse immediately with water for 15–20 minutes. Call Poison Control 1-800-222-1222 or a doctor immediately if swallowed.

I've used Tide for over 40 years as it cleans my clothes well and works in my older washing machine. Many years ago I tried a different detergent brand and ended up being really itchy when I wore clothes washed with that detergent. Since then, I have only used Tide.
