Tonnino Albacore Ginger Soy: Pole-and-Line Albacore Fillets in Seasoned Olive Oil

  • Whole albacore fillets — hand-cut, pole-and-line caught albacore with a firm, meaty bite
  • Ginger and soy seasoning — savory soy sauce and fresh ginger in olive oil, an Asian-inspired flavor that suits rice and noodles
  • Responsibly caught — pole-and-line, FAD-free fishing from a small-catch, MSC certified fishery, as shown on the label
  • Ready to eat — open the jar and serve; no draining or cooking needed
  • About 24 g protein per serving — 130 calories and 3 g fat per 3.07 oz serving according to the nutrition panel
  • 6.3 oz (180 g) glass jar — choose a Single, Pack of 3, or Pack of 6

How to Use

Serve the fillets straight from the jar over steamed rice, soba, or ramen, spooning a little of the seasoned olive oil on top as a dressing. Flake them into a sesame cucumber salad, pile onto toast with avocado, or tuck into wraps and lettuce cups. Keep unopened jars in a cool, dry pantry. After opening, refrigerate leftovers in their oil in a covered container and use within two days.

About Tonnino

Tonnino is a specialty tuna brand that packs whole hand-cut fillets in glass jars rather than flaking them into cans, so you can see the quality of the fish before you open it. The line is produced in Costa Rica and includes yellowfin and albacore in water, olive oil, and seasoned oils, with a focus on responsibly caught fish and simple ingredient lists. Frequently Asked Questions

Does Tonnino Albacore Tuna with Ginger Soy contain allergens?
Yes. This product contains fish (albacore tuna) and soy from the soy sauce seasoning. Soy sauce is often brewed with wheat, so anyone avoiding gluten should check the printed ingredient panel on the jar before eating. Read the current label for facility statements too, as these can change between production lots.

How should I store Tonnino Albacore Tuna with Ginger Soy?
Unopened jars are shelf stable, so keep them in a cool, dry pantry away from heat and sunlight and use by the printed date. Once opened, transfer leftover tuna and oil to a covered container, refrigerate, and eat within two days. Let it sit at room temperature a few minutes before serving so the olive oil loosens.

What is the difference between this jar and Tonnino Tuna Fillets in Water?
This jar uses albacore, a paler, milder tuna, seasoned with soy and ginger and packed in olive oil, so it is rich, savory, and ready to eat as is. Tonnino Tuna Fillets in Water uses yellowfin in plain water and sea salt, which is leaner and neutral, better when you add your own dressing. Both are whole hand-packed fillets.

What pack options are available for Tonnino Albacore Ginger Soy?
Each glass jar holds 6.3 oz (180 g) of albacore fillets in ginger soy olive oil. Order a Single jar to try the flavor, a Pack of 3 for weekly lunches, or a Pack of 6 to keep the pantry stocked; the multi-packs bring the per-jar price down. Because the jars are shelf stable, buying ahead is easy.

Simply the best tuna money can buy...

The best tuna on the market, bar none. Such a great product that I've tried nearly all of the variations and loved them all. The Jalapeño is the best IMHO. So much tuna goodness with a hit of heat that is perfect. Makes an amazing tuna salad sandwich!

The best tuna!

This is the greatest stuff if you are looking for tuna. This brand was rated as one of the best in a canned version. We believe having it in glass is a bit healthier. There are several versions, going from plain water to truffle. The oil and oregano version is one of the best. Great price on line compared to in the store.

The best tuna!

This is the best tuna, hands down better than any of the brand-name canned tuna you find in a supermarket. The tuna is large solid chunks of tuna, very flavorful and not mushy at all. It's more expensive than canned but well worth the extra cost, try it, you'll like it!

Amazing

Favorite of all the flavors. Kids love it too. Great tossed on salads or into pasta or straight from the jar. Seriously amazing huge chunks of tuna in the best flavored oil ever.

Best tuna ever

You can put it in your mini food processor without mayo. I like to add some veggies. The oregano flavor is outstanding. Very expensive though.
