Ph was close to 8 but not quite 8.1 water taste basic nothing good I love the bottle and the packaging price is higher then normal but not the most expensive. I test pool water all day so I actually tested the water on a accublue system very accurate. I love effective water and I will pay a pretty dollar for it. Kinda bummed I didn't get 8.1 but also gotta remember ph is changing and alkalinity has a big part in it. But at the end of the day happy with my purchase.
