How to Use

Use one level tablespoon of grounds per 6 fl oz of cold, fresh water for a standard cup, or up to two tablespoons for a stronger brew, in an automatic drip maker, percolator, or French press. For cold brew, steep one cup of grounds in four cups of cold water for 12 to 18 hours and strain. Press the lid firmly closed after every scoop and keep the canister in a cool, dark cupboard, never the refrigerator or freezer, where moisture and odors dull the flavor. Try to use an opened canister within a month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Folgers Classic Roast Ground Coffee contain allergens?
No. Folgers Classic Roast lists a single ingredient, 100 percent pure coffee, and contains no milk, nuts, soy, wheat, or added flavorings. It is plain ground coffee that you finish with your own milk, cream, or sugar. As with any packaged food, read the printed label on the canister for the current ingredient and allergen statement before use.

How do I brew Folgers Classic Roast, and how should I store the canister?
Use one level tablespoon of grounds per 6 fl oz of cold water in a drip maker or percolator, or two for a stronger cup. Snap the AromaSeal lid closed after each scoop and keep the canister in a cool, dark cupboard rather than the refrigerator. Aim to finish an opened canister within about a month for the fullest aroma.

What is the difference between Folgers Classic Roast and Folgers Black Silk or Breakfast Blend?
Classic Roast is the medium roast at the center of the Folgers line, balanced and mild enough to drink all day. Breakfast Blend is a lighter, brighter roast, while Black Silk is a dark roast with a bolder, smokier body. All three are ground the same way and brew identically, so the choice comes down to roast strength.

Where is Folgers Classic Roast Ground Coffee made?
Folgers roasts and packs its coffee in the United States at its New Orleans, Louisiana, plant, the brand's main production site for decades. The beans are imported green from coffee-growing regions and roasted domestically. This 43.5 oz canister is the standard US family-size format sold in supermarkets and warehouse clubs, not an export or reformulated version.
