Frequently Asked Questions
What does 2X Sanitizing Strength mean?
Purell Advanced is proven to kill germs with 2X the sanitizing strength compared to non-advanced hand sanitizers. This means it is more effective at reducing the number of germs on hands in a single application. The 70% Ethyl Alcohol concentration is the FDA-recommended level for maximum antiseptic efficacy.
Does Purell dry out hands?
Purell Advanced Refreshing Gel is formulated with Glycerin and Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate) to moisturize and condition skin during use. Most users find that hands feel soft after use, even with frequent application. If you experience dryness, consider using a hand moisturizer after sanitizing.
Is Purell safe for children?
Children under 6 years of age should be supervised when using Purell. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. For children's hands, apply a small amount and rub together until dry — do not allow children to lick hands until the product has fully dried.
