I love this Sumatra Dark Roast Coffee. It taste great and smells great too. This is quality coffee and I look forward to several cups first thing in the morning. This is a good coffee pod. A friend of mine got me onto Sumatra. He got me into buying my own beans, grinding them in a burr grinder, and wow, there is just nothing like it. However, those bags are expensive. Plus, you want a superb coffee brewer, a good grinder, and time. NOTHING wrong with that. It is rewarding if you like coffee, like i do. Go through with it!But, for those days you need a quick cup, well, a lot of us have gotten a pod brewer. I have tried many different pods. So many variety packs, and often, that flavors, to me, anyhow, just are not distinct enough, or that tasty.I have to go back to Starbucks on this one. These pods are just what the doctor ordered. Is is nice to wake up in a hurry, no time for the grinding and the brewing, etc... pop in a pod and get this aroma, then this taste.The price is not bad. If you are looking for cheaper, well, you can find it, but you get what you pay for. What are you looking for the cheapest coffee? Or a damn good cup or two to start your day off right?
So truthfully, I don’t use my Keurig that much anymore because I converted to espresso and mostly using my French press. I remember when I used cake cups these were my favorite. There are different flavors and varieties that Starbucks makes, but I feel like the k-cup’s get a little bit of water down so the dark roast works the best because it comes out more like a medium than a dark roast. I did find that if I really wanted the super dark roast, I would do two runs and then it would really come out. These are super flavorful and are much cheaper than a cup of coffee from the actual store.
We have been using this coffee for probably about 15 years. We have tried almost all of the flavors and brands and finally settled on this brand and this flavor. To be honest, we are on fixed income and have to be discerning in our purchases. We also are aware that there are cheaper offerings; but when we rely on coffee so much to start our day - the value is worth more money. We like the taste. We order it using “Subscribe and Save” which maximizes the savings for this brand and flavor and it is important to us that it is ethically sourced.
