This Tide Free Odor Refresh XL Pods has excellent cleaning power just like regular Tide & gentle on sensitive skin. My teenage daughter was complaining about her skin being red & itchy when we used the regular Tide Pods.So we switched to the Tide Free & Gentle and she no longer has itchy skin! This product states it’s “free of perfumes, dyes, and harsh chemicals” and from our experience, it’s definitely True!The photo shows this Tide XL pod compared to the regular size Tide pods. I’m glad Tide offers both sizes which makes it convenient for different laundry load sizes.
We really like the Tide Pods Free & Gentle for our family wash. With kids in the house, I’m picky about anything with heavy fragrances or bright dyes, and these don’t bother anyone’s skin or make the clothes smell fake “perfumey.” Most of the time I use a regular liquid detergent, then toss one of these in to kind of supercharge the load when something is extra dirty (towels, bedding, kid stains, all that). They melt fine in warm and hot cycles and the clothes come out feeling clean, not coated.The only downsides for me are price and a tiny bit of waste. They’re definitely more expensive per load than a basic store brand liquid, so I don’t use them alone for every wash. Also, if you overstuff the washer or use really cold water, once in awhile a pod doesn’t dissolve alot and leaves a little gummy spot. Not a dealbreaker, but good to know. Overall though, they’re super convenient, gentle enough for kids, and a nice boost when you want stuff to come out extra clean.
I was skeptical about pods, but after use they work well and I am happy with them. I had a feeling that the regular tide pods wouldn’t be enough for my regular loads. I’m glad I chose these because just one is enough for each load. They have no smell after washing which is what I wanted. They dissolved in cold water for my colors in around 30 seconds and in about 10 seconds in hot water for my whites. For comparison in the pictures below I use clothespins. The clothespin sheet had 9 of them on it.

Loved this item and great price; subscribed for additional deliveries but it was canceled by Amazon as product no longer available. Substitute item tripled in price. What a rip off.
Great for sensitive skin and have good cleaning power, even gets the make up marks off of my white shirts!
I just moved and the old place had a washing machine that left my cloths smell a bit mildew. Once I move and used a new machine the smell still remained but I started using this product it went away in the first wash.

I recently discovered i am allergic to SLS. This detergent has been perfect. It doesn’t have a strong smell and it doesn’t have SLS in it.
Work great! I'm really hot natured & like to be outside in yard so I sweat lots & as result get dirty (yesterday June 11th went thru 4 shirts). The Tide pods 'free & gentle' remove all dirt & odors + no perfumes (allergic reactions)

Good for larger loads
I love using this detergent alone for my pets items! This is also good for when I want to add some scent booster beads. I feel when you mix too much aromas together it gets overwhelming. The pods dissolve wonderfully if you don’t overload your washer. The larger size pods are a great deal for the price and when used with the wool dryer balls, the clothes come out soft.

Im sorry happy I bought this. So easy to toss in the washer with no measuring. I will never use the liquid with the spout again. It makes nothing but a mess. And not to mention, I've been using Tide for 50 yrs!!
Works really well, at least compared to dirty labs, which I was using before. Perfectly unscented, and no skin issues.

LOVE the new large size PODS!!!! I typically use two pods for every wash and the one pod works just fine. I do wish they would stop using these wasteful plastic containers. Why not just a bag? You can always transfer them into another container if you don't like the bag. How about a large cute jar with black lid next to a little painting or flower.
